Peeling force of release paper
- 2022-04-06 -

The peeling force of release paper mainly depends on the silicone oil formula and coating amount. When the silicone oil formula is unchanged, the amount of coating directly affects the peeling performance. The higher coating amount can densely cover the base paper or the coated base paper to ensure the uniform distribution of silicone oil. However, the lower the amount of silicone oil coating, it is prone to leakage and other phenomena, resulting in poor peeling. Some release coating suppliers reduce the amount of silicone oil coating in order to save costs, resulting in heavy peeling and producing heavy release paper, which is quite risky in use. Peel force at room temperature, using Tesa7475 at room temperature through the standard test method to obtain the peel force data, the unit is N/25mm, how many grams can be converted.

1. Generally 0.15N/25mm, which is a peeling force of about 15 grams, commonly known as light peeling;

2. 0.250N/25mm, which is a peeling force of 20-30 grams, commonly known as medium peeling;

3. 0.4~0.6N/25mm, which is a peeling force of 40-60 grams, commonly known as heavy peeling;

Four, of course, there are also 0.03~0.05N/25mm, that is, 3~5 grams of peeling force, commonly known as ultra-light peeling;

5. There is also a peeling force of 1.00N/25mm, which is more than 100 grams, commonly known as overweight peeling.

The residual adhesion rate refers to the force of the release paper after the first peeling and the second peeling. The calculated data mainly reflects the curing effect of the silicone oil.

The testing of release paper technical indicators is a very complicated project. Generally, electronics factories and tape factories can only test the last few data.
